Folder contains correspondence regarding the possible publication of Helen Clay Frick's manuscript. Harvard University Press agreed to publish as long as entire cost of printing was subsidized (January 19, 1949). October 20, 1949 letter to Thomas J. Wilson: "It is very unfortunate that you should have accepted my manuscript on Houdon in the first place inasmuch as you now find so much that is wrong with it. Personally, I regret that you should have kept it almost two years before making these discoveries, and I will be very happy indeed to cancel the contract if that is possible." The contract was cancelled. Miss Frick letter June 18, 1954 re resubmitting manuscript for publication. Wilson expressed interest, but there is no follow-up correspondence. January 10, 1962 letter in Yale University correspondence indicated manuscript was rejected in 1955.
