Scope and Content Note
Subseries 4: Forwarding Agents, 1939-1999, concerns the shipping, storage, and insurance of art objects. Materials include invoices and statements, shipping instructions, import/export customs forms and declarations, lists of objects being shipped, insurance claims for damages, and insurance policies and premiums. Copies of these documents are frequently filed in the relevant Rosenberg & Stiebel, Inc. subject file for the buyer or seller of an object.
