Series IV: Private Art Dealer Files, 2004-2016, undated

This series contains records and correspondence pertaining to Jane, Lady Abdy's activities as a private art dealer, including lists of artworks and research notes for a 2007 exhibition of sculpture by Sarah Bernhardt and materials pertaining to a 2011 sale of drawings of Sarah Bernhardt by a range of artists. The series also contains correspondence with, and receipts for purchases, sales, and consignment agreements with Sotheby's, Christie's, Bruun Rasmussen, The Scottish Gallery and an art mover. There are also event planning materials dating from 2014-2016, and records of Abdy’s expenses from 2014 to 2015. Event guest lists, timesheets for her employees, and an address book containing contact information for artists, auction house contacts, curators, scholars, politicians, friends, and social connections are restricted at this time.
