Series III: Caravaggio Research Files, 1945-2003

Relating to Moir's research on Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio and his followers. Files contain photographs of works, Moir's research notes, his outlines and drafts for his published articles and books, and offprints or photocopies of other academic or popular press articles relating to Caravaggio. Also includes correspondence with fellow art historians and attribution requests from individuals or institutions. Divided into three subseries: 1: Caravaggio Works, 2: Lost Works, and 3: Miscellaneous Caravaggino Research.
