Scope and Contents note
Consists mostly of correspondence with galleries and museums. The editors of the Index, Greta A. Cornell and Frances M. Pollack, typically requested museums to provide lists of paintings by 20th century painters that they had recently acquired. This subseries also includes press releases, news clippings and museum newsletters. Includes some temporary exhibition material.
Arrangement
Organized alphabetically by city followed by the name of gallery or museum.
