Scope and Content Note Album contains photographs taken by Helen Clay Frick during the latter portion of the Frick family's 1912 trip abroad. People depicted in the album include Helen Clay Frick's mother, Adelaide H.C. Frick, her future sister-in-law, Frances Shoemaker Dixon, and her governess, Marika Ogiz, as well as J. Scope and Content Note

Diary of March-April 1923 trip to South Carolina to identify and photograph paintings throughout the state for the Frick Art Reference Library. Lawrence Park, Helen Clay Frick (for 3 weeks of the trip), Ira Martin, and various friends of Miss Frick made the trip. The diary is handwritten and full of enclosures. It gives a detailed account of their activities (who they met, where they went, where they stayed, what they ate, and what they saw).

Henry Clay Frick, 1849-1919, was a prominent industrialist and art collector. His New York residence at One East 70th Street was designed by Thomas Hastings, and completed in 1914. The house was later opened to the public as The Frick Collection in 1935. These materials document the construction and furnishing of the house, as well as some aspects of domestic life there.
